1) marble sign in front of school; 2) school "dog-iron" logo, which Will Rogers used to brand his cattle (this is actually a pic of a floor mat in the school entry way); 3) tower in front -- notice the ornate lights on each side of the steps, the shape of the doors and grailing above, the two carved pix of Will Rogers, and the multiple-column look on each side of the tower.
1) school seal on the floor in the main lobby area when you enter ("Senior Hall"); 2) other side of the building front -- notice the hanging lights, the two carved pictures; 3) front of the building, gym on the left, classrooms on the right of tower -- notice the ornate rectangles above and beneath the gym windows; also, on a personal note, the drive was shaped like a horseshoe, and "the thing to do" for kids was to drive through it if passing by the school.
1) bust of Will Rogers -- notice the shiny ceramic tiles, still in great shape (kids used to rub Will's nose); 2) Senior Hall, where, of course, seniors hung out before and after school -- notice the hanging light fixtures ceramic trim on staircase and around doorway, and the decorated hanging ceiling area; 3) bust of Will Rogers in Senior Hall -- notice the tiles and the vertical tile columns on each side; 4) first-floor hall (see a better pic at bottom of page)
1) adjoining hall at end of long hall -- notice the ornate decoration around the old clock and at the top right of pic, the unique flooring border, the doors and trim around them, various tile and marble, the ceiling and designs around crown molding; 2) the auditorium with its original lighting fixtures on right of picture, floor-to-ceiling murals to left of lights, cast-iron seats, and same decorative flooring; 3) the carved pictures of Will on front of building -- notice the extreme craftsmanship throughout
1) Senior Hall in front lobby -- notice the same details as before, plus the unique stairs and flooring borders; 2) the two carvings in front of building on the opposite side of carvings of Will; 3) bottom of page: previous open house at Rogers and tours at Will Rogers High School in Tulsa -- notice the flooring, the carvings above the principal's office on the right, the walls and carvings by the water fountains on the left, the beautiful lighting fixtures up and down the hall, and the other carvings on the walls (auditorium and tour pix from Tulsa World newspaper).
